La incidencia del COVID-19 en los centros educativos rurales en España

Abstract

RESUMEN Todos los centros escolares tuvieron que replantear su funcionamiento y organización para afrontar el curso académico 2020-2021. Este estudio trata de conocer cómo ha sido la incidencia del COVID-19 en los centros educativos rurales en España. Hay aspectos característicos de la escuela rural que pueden facilitar el desarrollo del Plan de Contingencia y la “nueva normalidad” en las aulas, pero también existen otros factores que siguen dificultando la actividad educativa en el medio rural y pueden haberse acentuado tras la crisis sanitaria provocada por el SARS-CoV-2. Se ha diseñado un cuestionario online que ha sido respondido por 252 docentes que se encuentran ejerciendo actualmente en una escuela rural. Los resultados muestran un gran esfuerzo por parte de toda la comunidad educativa para superar con éxito este curso escolar y adaptarse a los cambios producidos en la forma de trabajar, relacionarse y comunicarse.

ABSTRACT All schools had to rethink their operation and organization to face the 2020-2021 academic year. This study tries to know how has been the impact of COVID-19 in rural schools in Spain. There are characteristic aspects of rural schools that can facilitate the development of the Contingency Plan and the "new normality" in the classrooms, but there are also other factors that continue to hinder educational activity in rural areas and may have been accentuated after the health crisis caused by SARS-CoV-2. An online questionnaire was designed and answered by 252 teachers currently working in a rural school. The results show a great effort on the part of the entire educational community to successfully overcome this school year and adapt to the changes in the way of working, relating and communicating.
