Comunidad, resistencia y revuelta en las sociedades campesinas de la Europa moderna

Abstract

RESUMEN: En el transcurso de los siglos de la Edad Moderna fueron muy numerosos los episodios de resistencias y revueltas acaecidos en el interior de las sociedades campesinas europeas. En el presente trabajo trataremos de realizar un acercamiento a estos llamativos fenómenos sociales partiendo de los ejemplos procedentes de cuatro marcos geográficos: Inglaterra, Francia, los territorios germánicos y Rusia. Con este fin procederemos en primer lugar a delimitar claramente los elementos conceptuales empleados, analizando a continuación cada uno de los ámbitos seleccionados desde una óptica más o menos similar, en la que se presentarán inicialmente los rasgos más significativos de su mundo agrario antes de pasar a exponer los pormenores de sus resistencias y revueltas. Finalmente, formularemos una serie de cuestiones analíticas aplicables a estos eventos mediante las cuales se imbricarán todas las informaciones recogidas, prestando una atención especial al papel que ejercían en ellos las estructuras sociales comunitarias. En este apartado estableceremos varios patrones y divergencias entre los distintos espacios que nos permitirán extraer un conjunto de conclusiones.

ABSTRACT: Over the course of the Early Modern centuries there were numerous episodes of resistances and revolts that took place within European peasant societies. In the present work we will try to conduct an approach to these striking social phenomena on the basis of examples coming from four geographical settings: England, France, the Germanic territories and Russia. With this aim, we will first proceed to clearly demarcate the employed conceptual elements, then analyzing each one of the selected scopes from a more or less similar viewpoint, in which initially the most significant characteristics of its agrarian world will be presented before moving on to expound the details of their resistances and revolts. Finally we will formulate a series of analytical questions applicable to these events by which all the collected informations will be interwoven, paying special attention to the role that communal social structures exerted on them. In this section we will establish several patterns and divergences between the different spaces that will allow us to draw a set of conclusions.
