El libro de texto en Educación Infantil: análisis de la propuesta pedagógica en un aula de cinco años

Abstract

RESUMEN: El análisis del libro de texto sigue suscitando especial interés entre los profesionales de la investigación educativo-curricular. Estudios recientes verifican que es el recurso didáctico más utilizado por los maestros y que, además, determina el enfoque curricular que se lleva a cabo en el aula. En este documento se busca esclarecer los motivos por los cuales las escuelas siguen aferradas a este elemento como eje vertebrador de la actividad de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Con este Trabajo Fin de Grado (TFG) se realiza una investigación exploratoria con el propósito de analizar la propuesta pedagógica que resulta de utilizar el material editado en un aula de cinco años. Por ello, nos situamos ante una metodología cualitativa en la que las estrategias de producción de información son una entrevista semiestructurada y el análisis del material didáctico. El libro de texto se estudia mediante la información extraída del propio material y las observaciones de la investigadora, sintetizadas en la rejilla de análisis. Para realizar el análisis y reducir los datos realizamos una codificación temática. Finalmente, de los resultados obtenidos se concluye que en el libro de texto impone un estilo de enseñanza envolvente y transmisivo. Se trata de un material al servicio del maestro y no del alumnado. El grado de significatividad de la propuesta es muy reducido, dándose así aprendizajes descontextualizados. Como consecuencia, este recurso didáctico sustenta un modelo educativo homogeneizante.

ABSTRACT: The analysis of the textbook continues to arouse special interest among educational-curricular research professionals. Recent studies verify that it is the most widely used didactic resource by teachers and that it also determines the curricular approach used in the classroom. This paper seeks to shed light on the reasons why schools still cling to this element as the backbone of the teaching learning activity. This Final Degree Project (TFG) is an exploratory research with the aim of analysing the pedagogical proposal resulting from the use of the edited material in a five-year-old classroom. Therefore, we are faced with a qualitative methodology in which the strategies for the production of information are a semi structured interview and the analysis of the teaching material. The textbook is studied through the information extracted from the material itself and the researcher's observations, synthesised in the analysis grid. In order to carry out the analysis and reduce the data, we carried out a thematic coding. Finally, from the results obtained, we conclude that the textbook imposes an enveloping and transmissive teaching style. It is a material at the service of the teacher and not of the students. The degree of significance of the proposal is very low, leading to decontextualised learning. As a consequence, this didactic resource supports a homogenising educational model.
