La evolución hacia los hábitos saludables en los establecimientos hoteleros

Abstract

RESUMEN: Este proyecto pretende ofrecer una visión de la evolución del turismo de salud dentro de la hostelería, tanto en la restauración como en las instalaciones estéticas o de spas, donde muchas veces también se incluyen servicios médicos relacionados con la salud tanto mental como física. Algunos objetivos que se proponen son los de describir el origen de los balnearios, cómo han ido cambiando hasta hoy en día, y cuáles son las propiedades que tienen, así como examinar la combinación de negocios y bienestar a la hora de viajar, pero sobre todo centrándose en describir las instalaciones y ofertas que se incluyen en los hoteles en cuanto a actividades saludables. Además, es destacable la aparición de nuevos hoteles “ecológicos”, los cuales son sostenibles y respetuosos con el medio ambiente, una nueva moda de alojamientos turísticos que aún es poco conocida.

ABSTRACT: This project aims to provide an overview of the development of health tourism in the hospitality industry, either in restoration or esthetic facilities or spas, where medical services related to both mental and physical health are included. Some proposed objectives are to describe the origin of spas, how they have changed to this day, and what properties they have, and to examine the combination of business and wellness when traveling, but especially focusing on describing the facilities and offers that are included in the hotel in terms of healthy activities. Also noteworthy is the emergence of new "green" hotels, which are sustainable and environmentally friendly, the new trend of tourist accommodation that is still not very well known.
