Hola Ola Hostel

Abstract

RESUMEN: Los Hostels son un tipo de alojamiento diferente que permite que todo tipo de personas puedan alojarse en un destino turístico, debido a sus bajos precios, producidos porque a diferencia de cualquier otro alojamiento, pagas por cama y no por habitación. La dinámica de un hostel y por lo que se diferencia del resto de alojamientos es que cuenta con habitaciones compartidas, es decir, habitaciones que se comparten con otros viajeros. Con ellos también se comparte el baño y el resto de espacios como la cocina o el salón. Actualmente Santander cuenta con dos hostels ubicados en el centro de la ciudad. Al ser un tipo de alojamiento que se encuentra en pleno crecimiento, surge la necesidad de crear un nuevo hostel en la zona del Sardinero. La propuesta de esta investigación se basa en desarrollar el “Hola Ola Hostel”, ubicado en el antiguo Hotel Colón, enfrente de los Jardines de Piquío. Su privilegiada ubicación hace del hostel un lugar ideal para la práctica de actividades acuáticas deportivas como el surf al mismo tiempo que permite conocer la ciudad y disfrutar de unas vacaciones en primera línea de playa a un precio muy económico. El Hostel cuenta tanto con habitaciones privadas como compartidas, recepción, salón, baños y cocina. También cuenta con un servicio de bar-restaurante de uso no exclusivo para huéspedes del hostel, por lo que se encuentra abierto para todo el mundo.

ABSTRACT: Hostels are a unique kind of accommodation that hosts all kinds of people in a touristic destination due to its affordable prices. Hosts pay for a bed instead of a private room and that is what allows this economic prices. Unlike other types of accommodation, travellers staying in hostels share not only rooms but also bathrooms and other spaces such as kitchens and living rooms. There are currently only two hostels in Santander located in the centre. Due to the popularity and expansion of this kind of lodging surges the need for a new hostel in the area of the Sardinero. The proposal of this investigation seeks the development of the “Hola Ola Hostel” to be set up in the former “Hotel Colón”, located in front of Jardines de Piquío. Its privileged location turns the hostel into a perfect spot to stay when you want to practice aquatic activities such as surf but also when you want to explore the city and enjoy your holidays on the beachfront for a very economic price. There are private and shared rooms, a reception, a living room, bathrooms and a kitchen in the hostel. It also offers a restaurant service not exclusive to clients but opened to everyone who is interested.
