RESUMEN: Cantabria es una de las regiones de España con una oferta de naturaleza muy extensa y rica que junto con la fauna hace que sea una comunidad con una gran oferta paisajística, es por ello se han clasificado diferentes espacios como Parques Naturales para protegerlos, recuperarlos y conservarlos para el futuro.
Entre estos espacios protegidos se encuentra el Parque Natural de Oyambre, situado en la zona occidental que por su flora y fauna le hacen especial, enmarcado en la Red Natura 2000 cuya finalidad es la de proteger este tipo de entornos.
