Alojamientos turísticos orientados al público LGTB. El caso de Axel Hotels

Abstract

RESUMEN: Los alojamientos turísticos cuyo mercado objetivo es el colectivo LGTB han experimentado un considerable crecimiento en los últimos años. Entre ellos destaca la cadena española Axel Hotels, la primera cadena hotelera del mundo diseñada para clientes LGTB. El objetivo de este trabajo de Fin de Grado es analizar este segmento de mercado desde un punto de vista legal, social y económico. Además, se identificarán las características de los establecimientos orientados al público LGTB y el motivo de su éxito. Se prestará especial atención a las características del servicio que ofrecen y a su imagen de marca, en concreto la de los Axel Hotels.

ABSTRACT: Tourist accommodation whose target market is the LGBT community has experienced a significant increase in recent years. Among them, the Spanish chain Axel Hotels stands out, the world’s first chain of hotels designed with LGBT guests in mind. The aim of this undergraduate dissertation is to analyse this market segment from a legal, social and economic point of view. In addition, the characteristics of the establishments aimed at the LGBT public and the reason for their success will be identified. Special attention will be paid to the characteristics of the service they offer as well as their brand image, specifically that of Axel Hotels.
