Turismo de montaña en el Parque Nacional de Los Picos de Europa

Abstract

RESUMEN: El Parque Nacional de Los Picos de Europa es un parque natural situado en la Cordillera Cantábrica, perteneciente a las provincias de Asturias, Cantabria y Castilla y León. Su modelo de gestión la realiza la Red de Parques Naturales, representado en el Plan Director de las tres Comunidades Autónomas. El principal turismo que se desarrolla en este Parque Natural es el turismo rural y de montaña, debido a su gran oferta de rutas de senderismo, deportes de alta montaña, y red de refugios, situados en un paisaje natural único con las condiciones idóneas para fomentar este tipo de turismo. Los refugios de montaña son las infraestructuras esenciales para realizar estas actividades, además de estar implicados en la preservación, protección y conservación del espacio natural y las montañas, consiguiendo sumar la calidad al atractivo turístico de la zona. Por tal motivo, la siguiente investigación trata de conocer la influencia del turismo desarrollado en el Parque Nacional de Los Picos de Europa y en la comarca de Liébana. Los datos muestran una gran afluencia de visitantes nacionales que realizan montañismo disfrutando de los diversos equipamientos que ofrece el espacio natural, concluyendo con un destino turístico único que promete productos y servicios de calidad y sostenibles con el medio ambiente.

ABSTRACT: Picos de Europa National Park is a natural park located in the Cantabrian Mountains, belonging to the provinces of Asturias, Cantabria and Castilla y Leon. Its management model is carried out by the Network of Naturals Parks, represented in the Master Plan of the three Autonomous Communities. The main tourism developed in this natural park is rural and mountain tourism, due to its great offer of hiking routs, high mountain sports and network of shelters, located in a unique natural landscape with the ideal conditions to promote this type of tourism. The mountain huts are essential infrastructures to achieve these activities, besides being involved in the preservation, protection and conservation of the natural space and the mountains, managing to add quality to the tourist attraction of the area. For this reason, the following investigation tries to know the influence of the tourism developed in the National Park and in the region of Liebana. The data shows a large influx of national visitors who hike enjoying the various facilities offered by the natural area, concluding with a unique tourist destination that promises quality products and services that are sustainable with the environment.
