La influencia del cine y las series en el turismo oscuro

Abstract

RESUMEN: El turismo oscuro está incrementando en todo el mundo en el siglo XXI. Es un tipo de turismo que no atrae a todos, pero tiene un papel importante en cuanto a informar y a traer el pasado al presente. Además de tener un propósito educativo o emocional, los turistas “oscuros” también viajan a estos destinos para buscar su propio patrimonio o satisfacer su curiosidad, entre otras razones. Los lugares de turismo oscuro se encuentran por todo el mundo y teniendo en cuenta al número de visitantes que reciben cada año, este tipo alternativo de turismo está obteniendo un interés cada vez mayor, por lo que en el presente estudio se han incluido varios ejemplos. Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado tiene como objetivo analizar el crecimiento de esta tendencia e identificar los diferentes perfiles de los viajeros, así como la influencia que tiene el cine y algunas series sobre el turismo oscuro, que a menudo son una herramienta de promoción respetuosa para estos lugares.

ABSTRACT: Dark Tourism has gained immense popularity in the 21st century all around the world. It is a type of tourism which doesn't appeal to everyone but has an important role in delivering information and bringing the past to present. Besides looking for educational or emotional purposes, “dark” tourists can also travel to these destinations to seek their own heritage or to satisfy their curiosity, amongst other reasons. Dark Tourism sites are scattered throughout the world and attending the number of visitors they receive every year, this alternative type of tourism is gaining an increasingly interest, so several examples have been included in this study. This undergraduate dissertation aims to analyse the growth of this trend and to identify the different profiles of travellers as well as the influence of films and series on Dark Tourism, which are often a respectful promotion tool for these places.
