Propuesta vacacional en El Astillero

Abstract

RESUMEN: El Astillero es un municipio que nació como enclave de apoyo al puerto de Santander, debido a su cercanía y proximidad a la ría, y gracias a los astilleros que aún siguen activos desde sus inicios en el siglo XVI. En la actualidad, El Astillero es principal albergue de turismo, especialmente durante los meses de verano, debido a la cercanía del municipio con los recursos turísticos más importantes de la comunidad, su proximidad con el aeropuerto Seve Ballesteros y su buena red de comunicación. A lo largo de este documento se expone la historia turística del municipio, haciendo un breve y previo recorrido por la historia de la comunidad de Cantabria, España y el mundo, para así poder analizar cuáles fueron los inicios del turismo en El Astillero desde una visión más general y ampliada. El estudio realizado comprende el desarrollo de los aspectos demográficos y geográficos más destacables, la oferta y demanda turística, tanto como las oportunidades y fortalezas del municipio. El objetivo final del análisis y, en definitiva, del presente trabajo, es el de crear una propuesta vacacional para el municipio de El Astillero. De igual manera y para finalizar, se han expuesto varias propuestas para la mejora del turismo en el municipio de El Astillero y las conclusiones a las que he llegado.

ABSTRACT: El Astillero is a municipality that was born as a support enclave for the port of Santander, due to its proximity to the estuary, and thanks to the shipyards that are still active since its beginnings in the 16th century. Nowadays, El Astillero is the main tourist hostel, especially during the summer months, due to the proximity to the most important tourist resources in the community, its proximity to Seve Ballesteros airport and its good communication network. Throughout this document, the tourist history of the municipality is presented, making a brief and previous journey through the history of the community of Cantabria, Spain and the world, in order to analyse what the beginnings of tourism in El Astillero were from a more general and extended view. The study includes the development of the most outstanding demographic and geographical aspects, the tourist offer and demand and the opportunities and strengths of the municipality. The final objective of the analysis and, ultimately, of this work, is to create a holiday proposal for the municipality of El Astillero. Similarly, and to conclude, several proposals for the improvement of tourism in the municipality of El Astillero have been presented and the conclusions reached.
