Informe de incendio en buque RORO

Abstract

Resumen. A lo largo de este trabajo, se desarrollará un informe técnico en virtud del cual se analizará un incendio a borde de un buque roro en travesía a unas 85 millas del puerto de destino. El nombre del buque será omitido en todo el trabajo por cuestiones de confidencialidad. En primer lugar, se presentarán los datos generales y las características principales del buque. Posteriormente, se dará a conocer la cronología de los hechos tomando en consideración las acciones de emergencia adoptadas por la tripulación. A continuación, se detallará la valoración de los daños producidos y se identificará la causa del incendio. Finalmente se proponen algunas mejoras técnicas a realizar en la instalación, así como una serie de acciones, tanto correctivas como preventivas, que tratarán de evitar que se vuelva a reproducir el incendio. La finalidad de este informe técnico ha sido la de presentar de forma clara el estado en el que se encontraba el buque antes y después de las medidas correctivas tomadas, así como de instalar una serie de medidas y elementos para intentar evitar un nuevo accidente similar.

Abstract. Throughout this work, a technical report will be developed by virtue of which a fire will be analyzed on the edge of a Roro vessel crossing some 85 miles from the destination port. The name of the ship will be omitted in all the work for confidentiality reasons. First, the general data and the main characteristics of the ship will be presented. Subsequently, the chronology of the events will be announced, taking into account the emergency actions taken by the crew. Next, the assessment of the damage produced will be detailed and the cause of the fire will be identified. Finally, some technical improvements are proposed to be carried out in the installation, as well as a series of actions, both corrective and preventive, that will try to prevent the fire from reproducing again. The purpose of this technical report has been to clearly present the condition of the ship before and after the corrective measures taken, as well as to install a series of measures and elements to try to avoid a new similar accident.
