Diseño de prótesis transfemoral multi-actividad

Abstract

RESUMEN: En este proyecto trataremos el diseño de una prótesis transfemoral, prótesis para aquellas personas que hayan perdido el miembro inferior por encima de la rodilla. Cada año hay más de 5200 amputaciones y sobre el 85% son de piernas, sin embargo, no hay mucha investigación para la mejora de prótesis que se encuentran en el mercado ni una búsqueda real por conseguir que haya más gente que pueda acceder a ellas. El precio de una prótesis transfemoral normal rondaría los 8000 euros, los cuales en nuestro país están subvencionados, pero no en otros. Este proyecto tiene por objetivo el diseño de una prótesis transfemoral cuya parte inferior a la rodilla pueda ser intercambiada según la actividad que el usuario vaya a desarrollar, distinguiendo entre un elemento para uso cotidiano normal y otro específico para el desarrollo de un tipo de actividad deportiva. De esta manera se pretende obtener un abaratamiento respecto de la situación actual en la que el usuario tiene que cambiar toda la prótesis en función de la actividad que realice. Igualmente se produce un aumento de la comodidad en su adaptación al cambio de actividad puesto que no implica un reajuste de la unión cuerpo-prótesis. Para ello hemos realizado el diseño de la prótesis en Inventor, intentando tener en cuenta cada detalle y calculado las fuerzas existentes en ella, debidas a los distintos movimientos que puede realizar el usuario, simulándolos en Working Model. Con lo anterior hemos hecho un análisis de elementos finitos de los distintos elementos de los que consta en Patran/Nastran para confirmar que el diseño cumplía con los objetivos para los cuales se diseñó, dándonos un resultado más que satisfactorio, ya que, además de conseguir nuestro objetivo y abaratar costes, tenemos un margen de resistencia muy elevado.

ABSTRACT: In this project we will discuss the design of a transfemoral prosthesis, prosthetics for those who have lost the lower limb above the knee. Every year there are more than 5200 amputations and about 85% are legs, however, there is not much research for improving prosthetics that are on the market or a real quest to get more people to access them. The price of a normal transfemoral prosthesis would be around 8000 euros, which in our country are subsidized, but not in others. This project aims to design a transfemoral prosthesis whose lower knee part can be exchanged according to the activity that the user will develop, distinguishing between a daily element and another for sporting use. In this way, it is intended to obtain a lowering in relation to the current situation in which the user has to change the entire prosthesis when he changes their activity. There is also an increase in comfort to the user in its adaptation to the change of activity due to it does not imply a readjustment of the body-prothesis join. To do this we have made the design of the prosthesis in Inventor, trying to take into account every detail and calculated the forces existing in it, due to the different movements that the user can make, following them in Working Model. With the above we have done an analysis of finite elements of the different elements of those contained in Patran/Nastran to confirm that the design met the objectives for which it was designed, giving us a more than satisfactory result, since, in addition to achieving our objective and lowering costs, we have a very high margin of resistance.
