El Puente del Tercer Milenio sobre el río Ebro en Zaragoza

Abstract

RESUMEN. El Puente del Tercer Milenio, que cruza el río Ebro al oeste de la ciudad de Zaragoza, es el principal acceso rodado al recinto de la Exposición Internacional que se celebra en este año 2008. Esta obra está llamada a convertirse en una referencia internacional en la ingeniería de puentes por múltiples motivos, entre los que destacan la calidad de su diseño, tanto estético como estructural, sus dimensiones, sus innovaciones técnicas en materiales y sistemas constructivos y su función urbanística.

ABSTRACT. The Third Millennium Bridge cross the Ebro river to the west of Zaragoza is the main vehicles access to International Exposition of this year 2008. Probably, this structure will become a international reference in bridge engineering for many reasons. The quality of the design, structural and aesthetical, the size, the technical innovations in materials and construction systems can be emphasized among other things.
