Percepciones del profesional de enfermería en el cuidado de úlceras crónicas “Hard healing”

Abstract

RESUMEN: Se ha realizado una revisión bibliográfica que ha evidenciado el desconocimiento al respecto de las percepciones y posible sobrecarga, sobre todo a nivel personal, derivada del tratamiento de úlceras difíciles de cicatrizar o también denominadas “hard healing” en el personal de enfermería. Nuestro objetivo será determinar qué percepciones refieren los profesionales de enfermería que llevan a cabo el cuidado de pacientes con esta patología y la repercusión a nivel personal, si la hubiera, al gestionar estos tratamientos tan prolongados en el tiempo. Para ello utilizaremos las entrevistas personales con profesionales del medio, apoyándonos en un cuestionario hecho a tal efecto, que posteriormente se analizará minuciosamente. En concreto, los profesionales escogidos por un muestreo de oportunidad, serán enfermeras de atención primaria que desarrollan su actividad asistencial en el Centro de Salud II Ensanche de Pamplona con más de 5 años de experiencia en este campo. Además, como requisito principal de inclusión en nuestro estudio, se tratará de profesionales que estén desarrollando este tipo de cuidados en el momento del estudio. Se desarrollarán entrevistas semiestructuradas para el desarrollo de la que es una investigación cualitativa de diseño fenomenológico, con un propósito exploratorio que, según nuestro parecer, evidenciarán la diversidad de perspectivas de lo que aparentemente resulta una misma situación. La duración estimada de la investigación es de dos años, que comenzarán a contar en diciembre de 2019, previendo la finalización de la misma en diciembre del 2021.El número de entrevistas a desarrollar vendrá delimitado por la saturación de los datos tras el análisis de los mismos, aunque inicialmente se propone comenzar con 5 candidatas, se prevé en el cronograma inicial un período para la incorporación de nuevas entrevistas. Se concluirá el estudio con las vertientes encontradas. Tras un análisis inicial, de las 2 entrevistas iniciales llevadas a cabo, ha sorprendido la obtención de respuestas contrapuestas. Una de las entrevistadas define “sensaciones de estrés” al saberse en el día de la visita de pacientes con las citadas características e incluso “desasosiego por no lograr la curación de las lesiones”, mientras que la otra define el hecho de que se trata de parte de su trabajo y que ha encontrado la forma de organizar las visitas con dichos pacientes de tal manera que no le altere su trabajo diario. No obstante, precisamos finalizar el estudio para poder definir de la manera más fidedigna posible la situación real de las profesionales, así como para poder obtener datos extrapolables a la mayoría del colectivo con las mismas características.

ABSTRACT: A bibliographic review has been carried out that has revealed the lack of knowledge regarding perceptions and possible overload, especially on a personal level, derived from the treatment of ulcers that are difficult to heal or also called “hard healing” in nursing personnel. Semi-structured interviews will be carried out for the development of what is a qualitative research of phenomenological design, with an exploratory purpose that, in our opinion, will show the diversity of perspectives of what appears to be the same situation. However, we need to finish the study to be able to define the real situation of the professionals as reliably as possible, as well as to obtain data that can be extrapolated to the majority of the group with the same characteristics.
