Clubes de lectura en Educación Secundaria: cómo fomentar la lectura

Abstract

RESUMEN El presente trabajo tiene como principal objetivo analizar cómo funcionan los clubes de lectura en Educación Secundaria y los beneficios que estos tienen para sus participantes. Asimismo, se analizará la conveniencia de poner en marcha un club de lectura en un centro de Educación Secundaria. Para ello, se ha realizado un estudio en colaboración con centros a nivel nacional sobre el funcionamiento de estos clubes, atendiendo a las implicaciones didácticas y beneficios que esta actividad ofrece. A partir de los datos recabados es posible concluir que un club lector aporta numerosos beneficios para sus participantes, tanto a nivel académico como social y por tanto, es muy conveniente que esta práctica se lleve a cabo en los centros educativos.

ABSTRACT The main objective of the present study is to show how book clubs work in Secondary Education and the several benefits that these clubs may have to its members. Besides, the advisability to start a book club in Secondary Education will be studied. In order to do this, a research on how book clubs in Secondary Education work is conducted, taking into account its didactic implications and contributions. This research has been carried out in Spain. Considering the results of the study, it is possible to conclude that running a book club has multiple benefits to its participants, both, in academic and social development and therefore, it is worthy to start a book club in Secondary Education.
