Transexualidad en menores de edad: una perspectiva bioética

Abstract

RESUMEN: La transexualidad ha estado presente desde el inicio de los tiempos. Poco a poco ha ido floreciendo gracias al esfuerzo de dicha minoría para conseguir unos derechos igualitarios al resto de la sociedad. A pesar de haber evolucionado a lo largo de los años, los menores transexuales continúan siendo un área olvidada en muchos aspectos, sin legislación oficial a nivel estatal y cuya actuación genera diversos conflictos éticos tanto a nivel familiar como a nivel profesional. Esta revisión bibliográfica tiene como objetivo principal exponer las controversias éticas que pueden aparecer tras la elección de un cambio de sexo en los menores de edad. Además, se añade el análisis de un caso concreto según el principialismo bioético de Diego Gracia basándose en la ética de mínimos y la ética de máximos, las cuales servirán de apoyo para entender la problemática de la situación. Se fomentan también las intervenciones basadas en la educación, tanto parental como individualizada para dichos menores, teniendo la enfermería un gran margen de actuación en este entorno. A día de hoy, la despatologización de la disforia de género y la educación focalizada hacia este ámbito, son los principales objetivos para lograr el reconocimiento que se merece este colectivo.

ABSTRACT: Transsexuality has been present since the beginning of time. Little by little it has been flourishing thanks to the effort of this minority to achieve equal rights as the rest of society. Despite have progressed over the years, transsexual minors are continue been a neglected area in many ways, without official legislation at the state level and whose action generates various ethical conflicts both at family and professional level. The main objective of this bibliographic review is to expose the ethical controversies that can appear after the choice of a sex change in minors. In addition, it adds the analysis of a specific case according to Diego Gracia's bioethical principlism that are based on the ethics of minimums and the ethics of maximums, which will serve as support to understand the problems of the situation. It also encourage the interventions based on education, both, parental and individualized for these children, having the nursing a big scope for action on this enviroment. Today, the depathologization of gender dysphoria and the eduaction focus on this field, are the main objective to achieve the recognition that this collective deserves.
