La nueva derecha del periodo de entreguerras. El caso de la Confederación Española de Derechas Autónomas (CEDA), 1931-1936

Abstract

RESUMEN: El objetivo del presente trabajo de fin de máster es el estudio y análisis de la CEDA como la más genuina (aunque no única) expresión española de la nueva derecha del periodo de entreguerras, diferente en ethos y en modo de proceder de la que en la época liberal fue hegemónica en ese lado del espectro ideológico, la liberal-conservadora clásica. Como tal, en el que fue el mayor partido de derecha en la España republicana cabe registrar ideas y actitudes propias de las nuevas formas de hacer política por parte de las derechas postliberales en las que, a su vez, se patentizan rasgos de diversas familias políticas, así como también otras heredadas de las décadas anteriores procedentes sobre todo del ámbito católico. Bajo tan diversas influencias, durante la II República la CEDA se desenvolvió de un modo que ha motivado un enconado y prolongado debate historiográfico en torno a su índole ideológica y a su grado de lealtad o deslealtad hacia el régimen republicano. Nuestro cometido en este TFM es analizar y categorizar la articulación ideológicodoctrinal y el modus operandi de la CEDA, tan representativa de la nueva derecha, como de la realidad española. Dentro del campo correspondiente a la siempre polémica naturaleza ideológica de la derecha católico cedista, se presta una atención particular a su componente demócrata-cristiano.

ABSTRACT: The objective of this master's thesis is the study and analysis of the CEDA as the most genuine (although not the only) Spanish expression of the new right in the interwar period, different in ethos and way of proceeding from the one in the the liberal era was hegemonic on that side of the ideological spectrum, the classical liberal conservative. As such, in what was the largest right-wing party in republican Spain, it is possible to register ideas and attitudes typical of the new ways of doing politics on the part of the post-liberal right wing, in which, in turn, features of various political families are evident, as well as others inherited from previous decades, especially from the catholic field. Under such diverse influences, during the Second Republic the CEDA developed in a way that has motivated a fierce and prolonged historiographic debate about its ideological nature and its degree of loyalty or disloyalty towards the republican regime. Our task in this TFM is to analyze and categorize the ideological articulation and the modus operandi of the CEDA, as representative of the new right as it is of the Spanish reality. Within the field corresponding to the always controversial ideological nature of the catholic and cedista right, particular attention is paid to its christian democratic component.
