Cálculo y mejora del índice de eficiencia energética del buque Benchijiguna Express

Abstract

This work presents the development of a technical/economic research on a high-speed passenger ship. Current problems concerning pollution in the marine environment and CO2 emissions to the atmosphere and the sea water are considered along this study. To assess the emissions coming from the ship, its characteristics as well as the calculation method itself are detailed, developing and explaining bit by bit every element in the formula, and calculating the energy index in the initial layout. Then, it is estimated as technical solution the incorporation of solar modules onto the ship, as the reassessment of the new energy index. Taking into account both values and the economic study, the viability of the new installation will be considered to conclude with the study.
