Uso pedagógico de juguetes y objetos cotidianos en la enseñanza de la Física

Abstract

RESUMEN A pesar de los múltiples beneficios de la utilización de los experimentos en el estudio y asimilación de los principios físicos, los docentes son reacios a utilizarlos debido a la complejidad del funcionamiento de los dispositivos, a que el experimento sea un fracaso o a no ser capaz de responder a las preguntas formuladas por los alumnos. Para orientarles durante todas las fases del desarrollo de un experimento, desde los materiales necesarios hasta el desarrollo del mismo, este trabajo propone varios guiones de prácticas de principios físicos incluidos en el currículo de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria de la Comunidad Autónoma de Cantabria (Decreto 38/2015). Estos guiones tendrán en cuenta múltiples variables como el contexto histórico, los preconceptos y el funcionamiento de los dispositivos, aplicando la metodología POE (Predicción-Orientación-Explicación), utilizando juguetes y objetos cotidianos. Los guiones de prácticas fueron puestos en práctica para detectar posibles debilidades y oportunidades de mejora en los mismos, alternando los roles de alumnos y profesor, para confirmar finalmente que era posible desarrollarlos en casa utilizando juguetes y objetos cotidianos. Como conclusiones, los guiones y experimentos se desarrollaron de forma exitosa, lográndose una buena integración entre la metodología POE y el resto de las variables citadas anteriormente.

ABSTRACT Despite the multiple benefits of using experiments in the study and assimilation of physical principles, teachers are reluctant to use them due to the complexity of the operation of the devices, the fact that the experiment is a failure or not being able to answer the questions asked by the students. To guide them during all the phases of the development of an experiment, from the necessary materials to the development of the same, this work proposes several scripts of practices of physical principles included in the curriculum of Compulsory Secondary Education of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria (Decree 38 / 2015). These scripts will take into account multiple variables such as the historical context, the misconceptions and the operation of the devices, applying the POE (Prediction-Orientation-Explanation) methodology, using toys and everyday objects. The practice scripts were put into practice to detect possible weaknesses and improvement opportunities in them, alternating the roles of students and teacher, to finally confirm that it was possible to develop them at home using toys and everyday objects. As conclusions, the scripts and experiments were developed successfully, achieving a good integration between the POE methodology and the rest of the variables mentioned above.
