Escuela rural: miradas del pasado y del presente a través de historias de vida

Abstract

RESUMEN: El declive de las escuelas rurales está condicionado por la escasa población infantil que actualmente existe en los pueblos, pero a pesar de ello siguen siendo uno de los destinos más queridos por los docentes actuales. Enel presente documento se exponen los tipos de escuelas que existen, cómo son los maestros de estos centros, cuáles son las características del alumnado que acude a estas escuelas y qué amenazas de cierre tienen las mismas. Gracias a los datos recogidos, se ha analizado y reflexionado sobre el cambio que han ido viviendo este tipo de escuelas desde la visión de varias generaciones. Se puede concluir con que la enseñanza en el medio rural es beneficiosa para todos y se debe luchar por el mantenimiento de estas escuelas ya que han brindado a lo largo de los años unas experiencias inigualables que no han podido ofrecer las escuelas urbanas.

ABSTRACT: The decline of rural schools is conditioned by the small child population that currently exists in the villages, but in spite of this they continue to be one of the most beloved destinations for today's teachers. This document presents the types of schools that exist, what the teachers of these schools are like, what are the characteristics of the student body that attends these schools, and what threats these schools have to close. Thanks to the data collected, we have analyzed and reflected upon the changes that these kinds of schools have undergone from the perspective of various generations. We can conclude that teaching in rural areas is beneficial for all, and that we should struggle to maintain these schools, since they have provided over the years unparalleled experiences that urban schools have not been able to offer.
