Cine y educación: enlaces y connotaciones pedagógicas

Abstract

RESUMEN: en el presente trabajo se abordarán los diferentes puntos de unión entre dos ámbitos que a priori pueden parecer desconectados entre sí: el cine y la educación. A través de un repaso a la historia del medio cinematográfico se tratará de comprender mejor la relación con el mundo educativo y la evolución que esta ha experimentado hasta consolidarse como un recurso didáctico más. Además, se abordarán las diferentes connotaciones educativas que poseen el cine y la televisión, desde la intrínseca capacidad educativa que tienen hasta la crítica que realizan del sistema educativo en sus obras. Asimismo, se plantearán las principales características que favorecerán una correcta inclusión del medio en el aula, pasando por estrategias metodológicas, así como por los aspectos fundamentales de la labor del maestro que se han de ver modificados al trabajar con el medio cinematográfico y las nuevas tecnologías.

ABSTRACT: this paper will address the different points of connection between two areas that may seem a priori disconnected from each other: cinema and education. Through a review of the history of the cinematographic medium, we will try to better understand the relationship with the educational world and the evolution it has undergone until it has consolidated itself as yet another educational resource. In addition, the different educational connotations of cinema and television will be addressed, from their intrinsic educational capacity to the criticism they make of the educational system in their works. Likewise, the main characteristics that will favour a correct inclusion of the medium in the classroom will be discussed, including methodological strategies, as well as the fundamental aspects of the teacher's work that must be modified when working with the cinematographic medium and new technologies.
