RESUMEN La investigación que se presenta a continuación trata de recopilar la información más relevante sobre la relación que se establece entre familias y centro educativo. Para ello, se realiza el estudio de la evolución normativa y teórica, deteniéndonos en las fortalezas y desencuentros que tanto el centro educativo como las familias transmiten en la educación de los adolescentes y en las múltiples vías de comunicación que se pueden llevar a cabo. Posteriormente se realiza una revisión de forma detallada de las investigaciones elaboradas en los últimos 20 años sobre la relación familia-escuela en el ámbito nacional concretando en la etapa de la Educación Secundaria. La principal conclusión que hemos obtenido de este análisis documental ha sido la necesidad inminente de colaboración entre la familia y el centro educativo para una correcta formación, educación y desarrollo del alumnado. Además, nos ha permitido ampliar nuestra visión para exponer propuestas de mejora hacia la participación de los tres agentes.
ABSTRACT The following research aims to collect the most relevant information about the relationship established between families and the school. To that end, the study about regulatory and theoretical developments is carried out, stopping in the strengths and disagreements that both the school and the families pass on to the education of teenagers and to the many communication channels that can be conducted. Subsequently, a detailed revision of the research developed during the past 20 years about the relationship between family and school in secondary education nationwide is done. The main conclusion we have come to from this documentary analysis is the imminent need to cooperation between the family and the school in order to achieve a proper training, education and development of the students. Furthermore, it has allowed us to broaden our point of view to present our suggested improvements regarding the participation of the three agents
