El cine y la didáctica de las ciencias sociales. Primeros pasos en el pensamiento crítico

Abstract

RESUMEN El uso de los medios audiovisuales en las aulas con fines educativos ha sido siempre objeto de debate entre educadores. A partir de una revisión de la bibliografía subyacente al uso del cine como instrumento pedagógico en la didáctica de las Ciencias Sociales en la primera etapa de la educación obligatoria, el presente TFG busca concienciar al lector sobre el potencial educativo del cine de animación infantil. El pensamiento crítico será el eje vertebrador del trabajo. A fin de ejemplificar la teoría recopilada, he realizado un exhaustivo análisis de la película Cómo entrenar a tu dragón, así como una experiencia educativa innovadora que busca formar un espíritu crítico capaz, al igual Hipo nuestro protagonista, de cuestionar lo establecido.

ABSTRACT The use of feature films in the classroom for educational purposes has always been debated among teachers. Based on a review of the underlying bibliography applied to the use of films as a teaching tool in the didactics of social sciences for the first stage of compulsory education, this dissertation aims to make the reader aware of the educational potential of animation films. This project is centered around critical thinking. To illustrate this theory with examples, I have carried out an exhaustive analysis of the movie How to train your dragon, as well as an innovative educational experience that aims to encourage a critical spirit which is able, like Hipo does, to question what is taken for granted.
