La Biblioteca escolar: un recurso intercultural

Abstract

La biblioteca escolar es un espacio que nos ofrece una gran diversidad de oportunidades y actividades a realizar. En este caso, centramos la atención en aspectos interculturales debido al crecimiento de alumnado de país extranjero en los centros educativos. Es necesario que este alumnado tenga las mismas posibilidades y los recursos necesarios para poder desenvolverse de manera adecuada en la nueva sociedad en la que va a formar parte y su incorporación en el sistema educativo sea los más eficiente posible, por ello, surge la idea de crear un proyecto intercultural teniendo como servicio base ofrecido por los centros educativos, la biblioteca escolar.

The school library is a space that offers us a great diversity of opportunities and activities to do. In this case, we focus on intercultural aspects due to the growth of students from foreign countries in schools. It is necessary for these students to have the same possibilities and the necessary resources to be able to develop in an adequate way in the new society in which they are going to be part of, and that their incorporation in the educational system be as efficient as possible. For this reason, the idea of creating an intercultural project arises, having as a basic service offered by the educational centers, the school library.
