El juego: un instrumento valioso para el desarrollo holístico del niño en Educación Infantil

Abstract

RESUMEN El juego es una herramienta esencial en la Educación Infantil porque promueve un aprendizaje enriquecedor y el desarrollo integral del ser humano. El presente trabajo tiene carácter teórico y está estructurado en varios apartados. Comenzamos con una aproximación al juego infantil con opiniones de diversos autores, más tarde, abordamos sus características y funciones. A continuación nos detenemos en la etapa de E. I., analizando los tipos de juego que pueden desarrollar los alumnos que caracterizan a esta etapa y examinamos cómo se contempla el juego en el currículo de E. Infantil. Posteriormente, tras haber examinado diferentes investigaciones, tratamos de analizar el valor que tiene que el docente ponga en práctica sus creencias acerca de la importancia que tiene el juego en las aulas de E.I., así como el papel del tiempo, espacios y materiales para propiciar el juego.

ABSTRACT Play is an essential tool in Early Childhood Education because it promotes enriching learning and the integral development of the human being. The present work is theoretical, structured in several sections. We begin with an approach to children's play with opinions from various authors, later, we discuss its characteristics and functions. Next, we stop at the stage of E. I., analyzing the types of play that the students that characterize this stage can develop and examine how the game is contemplated in the curriculum of E. Infantil. Later, after having examined different investigations, we tried to analyze the value that it has for the teacher to put into practice their beliefs about the importance of play in EI classrooms, as well as the role of time, spaces and materials to promote the game.
