Análisis y prevención del trastorno por juego en jóvenes

Abstract

RESUMEN Las nuevas tendencias de juego han producido un resurgimiento del juego social especialmente preocupante entre los adolescentes y la revolución de un sector cada vez más importante en España. El objetivo de este trabajo es conocer la situación actual del juego en menores, su vulnerabilidad y factores que incitan a su práctica. La normalización social del juego y la accesibilidad y disponibilidad que han aportado las nuevas tendencias de juego sumado a otros factores, han instaurado un nuevo modelo de ocio juvenil en el que se han viralizado las apuestas deportivas y el juego online, haciendo del trastorno por juego la adicción conductual más prevalente entre los jóvenes. Existe una falta de estudios y medidas estratégicas en el ámbito del juego y un laxo control de acceso al juego por parte de los jóvenes. Esta situación podría remediarse mediante adecuadas medidas regulativas y educativas en materia de prevención e investigación.

ABSTRACT New gambling trends have produced a particularly rebirth of social gambling especially worrying among adolescents and the revolution of an increasingly important sector in Spain. The aim of this project is to know the current situation of gambling in adolescents, their vulnerability and factors that encourage the practice. The social normalisation of gambling and the accessibility and availability that have provided the new gambling trends added to other factors, have established a new model of youth entertainment in which sports betting and online gambling have become viral, making gambling disorder the most prevalent behavioural addiction among young people. There is a lack of studies and strategic measures in the field of gambling and lax access control to gambling by young people. This situation could be avoided through appropriate regulatory and educational measures in the area of prevention and investigation.
