Fibrosis quística : análisis de los pacientes tratados en el Hospital Universitario Marqués de Valdecilla

Abstract

RESUMEN : La fibrosis quística es el trastorno recesivo severo más frecuente entre la población caucásica. La base patogénica es la mutación del gen que sintetiza la proteína CFTR. Con este estudio se pretende conocer las características de la población con fibrosis quística seguida en el Hospital Universitario Marqués de Valdecilla (HUMV) y describir su estado actual mediante el análisis de aspectos específicos de la patología tales como, las mutaciones presentes en la población, los motivos de diagnóstico, las colonizaciones más frecuentes, la presencia de afectación pancreática, la función pulmonar actual o los tratamientos empleados. Tras la recogida y el análisis de los datos se ha podido obtener una imagen panóramica del estado actual de los pacientes respondiendo, por tanto, al objetivo principal de este trabajo.

ABSTRACT : Cystic fibrosis is the most frequent severe recessive disorder among the Caucasian population. The pathogenic basis is the mutation of the gene that synthesizes the CFTR protein. This study aims to know the characteristics of the population with cystic fibrosis followed at the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital (HUMV) and describe its current state by analyzing specific aspects of the pathology such as, the mutations present in the population, the diagnostic reasons, the most frequent colonizations, the presence of pancreatic involvement, the actual lung function or the treatments used. After collecting and analyzing the data, it was possible to obtain a panoramic image of the current state of the patients, being able to respond to the main objective of this work.
