Resumen/Abstract
Motivated for the direction that the human being is taking in the subject of generation and consumption of energy, in this project I will study the mains sorts of technologies in the wind energy production. Then, I will choose one and I will design, using the program PSIM, the entire electronic converter and its control system. PSIM program is an electronic circuit simulation software that my mentor suggested to me to perform this purpose, due to it is designed specifically for use in motor drive simulations and power electronics. Withing all the renewable energies I have chosen the wind energy because it is one of the more efficient nowadays. Considering too that I am a student from Spain, where a big part of our energy is generated usually taking advantage of this renewable source. To start, I will consider that I am going to work with a wind farm in which each windmill will have an install power of 500 MW. This value will be important to set the value of the parameters for the elements of our circuit.
