Estudio y valoración de alternativas para la construcción de un tranvía en la ciudad de Santander

Abstract

RESUMEN: En el presente Trabajo Fin de Grado se plantea un estudio preliminar sobre la implantación de un sistema tranviario en la ciudad de Santander. Concretamente se propone como un servicio para el ciudadano y trataría de conectar el centro de Santander con las áreas cercanas de Nueva Montaña, Raos y Parayas con gran carácter de ocio y comercial pero que sin embargo no están conectadas con la ciudad por medio de transporte público. Se estudia a grandes rasgos el estado de arte del tranvía alrededor de todo el mundo, centrándose en una recopilación de experiencias con tranvías europeos, con el fin último de recoger soluciones innovadoras para el tranvía en Santander. El trabajo también recoge la historia del tranvía en Santander. La ciudad contó con su presencia hasta los años 50, sin embargo, hoy en día es una apuesta firme de implantación en numerosas políticas de movilidad sostenible alrededor del mundo, y en particular en la ciudad de Santander. Para ello, se elaboran una serie de alternativas con diferentes trazados que, tras analizar su diferencias en base a unos criterios de funcionalidad, económicos, de territorio y ambientales, se llevarán a una evaluación multicriterio empleando el Proceso Analítico Jerárquico para la asignación de pesos de Saaty. ABSTRACT: This Final Degree Project is a preliminary study on the implementation of a tram system in the city of Santander. Specifically, it is proposed as a service for citizens and would try to connect the city center of Santander with the nearby Nueva Montaña, Raos and Parayas areas that have a great leisure and comercial nature but are not connected by means of public transport. The state of the art of the tram around the world is studied in broad strokes, focusing on a compilation of experiences with European trams, aiming to collect innovative solutions for the tram system in Santander. This project also summarizes the history of the tram system in Santander. This city had its presence until the 1950s. However, nowadays it is a firm commitment to implement numerous sustainable mobility policies around the world, and in particular in the city of Santander. In order to achieve it, a series of alternatives with different ways have been studied and analyzed their differences based on functional, economic, territorial and environmental criteria, will be carried out to a multi-criteria evaluation using the Hierarchical Analytical Process to assign weights by Saaty.
