Una ruta por el patrimonio minero, industrial y ferroviario de Ponferrada

Abstract

RESUMEN: En el presente trabajo realizado se ha realizado un estudio de los espacios mineros e industriales de la ciudad de Ponferrada (El Bierzo, León). Este trabajo explica el desarrollo de dichos espacios a lo largo del tiempo desde su instauración a principios del siglo XX hasta la actualidad. Finalmente se explica la disposición actual de los diferentes espacios y se elabora una ruta turística basada en la visita y el conocimiento de los diferentes espacios mineros e industriales de la ciudad de Ponferrada. Este trabajo ha sido enfocado en tres zonas industriales de la capital del Bierzo. La primera de ellas se trata de un espacio residencial localizado en el entorno de la Central Térmica de Compostilla, la segunda es el área de la ciudad relacionada con la Minero Siderúrgica de Ponferrada (MSP) y la última zona de estudio es el área residencial y los talleres del barrio de “La Placa” relacionados con el ferrocarril.

ABSTRACT:In this project, it was tried to do a research of the mining and industrial areas in the city of Ponferrada (El Bierzo, Leon). This project explains the development of those spaces overtime since the first years of the 20th Century to the present. Finally, I will explain the current disposition of the analysed areas and it will be explained a touristic route based on visiting and acquire knowledge about the different mining and industrial spaces of Ponferrada. During the project I have focused on three areas of El Bierzo’s capital. The first one is the residential area next to the Compostilla’s Thermal Power Plant, the second one is the space of the city related to the mining of the “Minero Siderúrgica de Ponferrada” (MSP) and the last one is the study of the residential area and the workshops of the neighbourhood of “La Placa” which are related to the railways.
