Prensa española y universo soviético. Aproximación a la URSS desde ABC durante el franquismo: el caso de Vilnius

Abstract

ABSTRACT. The article tries to provide the first overview of how the Franquist press wrote about the current capital of Lithuania, Vilnius, especially in one of the most representative media at that time: the ABC newspaper. Starting in 1939 and concluding with Franco´s death in 1975, the article depicts the representation of Vilnius in ABC. In such a way, the purpose of this article is to reflect not only on the main discussed topics, but also on the approach which gave these subjects informative relevancy.

RESUMEN. El artículo intenta ofrecer un primer intento de aproximación a la perspectiva que sobre la actual capital lituana, Vilnius, se ofreció durante el franquismo, a través de uno de los medios de comunicación más representativos de la época: el periódico ABC. Comenzando en 1939 y terminando con la muerte de Franco, en 1975, el artículo mostrará una panorámica acerca de la representación en ABC de Vilnius. De este modo, el objetivo es incidir no solo en los principales temas representados, sino también en el enfoque desde el cual adquirieron relevancia informativa.
