En este trabajo se describe la fabricación de un contenedor para almacenar el residuo radiactivo gastado. El contenedor consta de la vasija principal de acero que contiene el combustible nuclear gastado, y la envolvente a éste, una pared de hormigón para aislar la radiación. Este tipo de contenedor es tanto para almacenaje como para transporte desde planta del combustible. El objetivo de este trabajo es establecer las condiciones técnicas y económicas para la fabricación de este tipo de contenedores multipropósito verticales para el almacenamiento de combustible nuclear agotado.
Within this paper we seek to describe the manufacture of a multipourpose container for spent radioactive fuel. This container consists on a main steel vesssel which houses the spent fuel and the one around it, a concrete wall providing isolation from the radiation. This kind of container Works both for storage and transport from the plant of the fuel. The goal of this paper is to stablish the technical and aconomical conditions for the manufacture of this vertical containers.
