T: The incursion of Information Technologies in the field of education is an undeniable fact that today includes immersion in media education in the classroom. The increase in the use of ICTs in the classroom has raised a concern about the possible impact on the prevalence of problems associated with problematic use of the Internet. This article presents data on an exploratory crosssectional non-experimental design carried out based on a nonprobability prepositive sample through the application of an adhoc developed questionnaire. The data in this article correspond to the responses of 832 students of Compulsory Secondary Education in three educational centres in the Autonomous Community of Cantabria, Spain. Two of the educational centres are privately owned, and one of them is public. One of the private centres uses educational methodologies based on the high use of information and communication technologies, as each student uses a personal computer in the classroom. The questionnaire used includes EUPIA, SOGS-RA, and CERM scales. The questionnaire also includes questions about time spent on internet use and sports betting and gambling or game participation. The data are of interest of researchers in developmental, educational, and behavioural psychology and in statistical scale development.es_ES
