Argentinos en Cantabria: proceso migratorio y expectativas socio-educativas

Abstract

RESUMEN: Los movimientos migratorios de los ciudadanos de Argentina a España empezaron a crecer a partir del año 1950. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo conocer las ideas y opiniones sobre el sistema educativo que posee la comunidad argentina inmigrante en Santander (Cantabria). Se comienza por una introducción al fenómeno de la migración en nuestra sociedad, hasta llegar a analizar la situación actual de Argentina y el fenómeno del interculturalismo. Posteriormente, se interpretan los datos más relevantes obtenidos de las entrevistas realizadas a siete migrantes argentinos residentes en Santander, y que responden a los cinco elementos clave seleccionados para esta investigación: cuál es el perfil sociodemográfico de los argentinos que emigran a España; cómo se llevó a cabo su proceso migratorio; cómo se desarrolla su vida cotidiana en España; cuáles son sus expectativas de futuro en Cantabria y, por último, cuáles son las opiniones acerca de la escuela y del sistema educativo español.

ABSTRACT: The migratory movements of the argentine citizens from Argentine to Spain began to grow up in 1950. This project has the goal of knowing the ideas and opinions about the education system, which owns the argentine migratory community in Santander (Cantabria). It start with an introduction to the migratory phenomenon in our society, until analyze the actual situation of Argentine and the interculturalism. Then, the most relevant data from the interviews done to seven argentine migrants who lives in Santander, are interpreted and they are corresponded to the five selected key elements to this investigation: which one is the sociodemographic profile of the argentines that emigrate to Spain; how they do the migratory process; how they do their daily life in Spain; what are their future expectations in Cantabria and, finally what is their opinion about the Spanish school and the Spanish education system.
