Estudio de la eficiencia propulsora en un buque cementero

Abstract

El siguiente estudio consistirá en verificar la eficiencia propulsora de un buque cementero. Esto permitirá saber cuál es el estado de los motores, así como la manera más económica de llevar a cabo la ruta dadas las condiciones deseadas (navegación a uno o dos motores, modos de funcionamiento etc.). A la hora de realizar el trayecto establecido encontrándose el buque en navegación, resulta de vital importancia saber los valores reales de consumos, presiones, temperaturas etc. que puedan interesarnos para saber, por ejemplo, si un motor está consumiendo más que otro y dado el caso tomar las medidas que se requieran para minimizar el gasto económico de cara al armador. Para ello se realizará este estudio donde se registrarán los parámetros de la línea de propulsión en ruta de navegación, a través de instrumentación especifica e indicadores locales. Desde el puerto de Villagarcía al de Gijón, esta ruta viene representada en el Anexo I. Se realizan registros de navegación en diferentes modos de navegación con lecturas de potencia de motor principal, combustible consumido por el mismo y velocidad desarrollada por el buque variando el régimen de giro del motor principal y del motor auxiliar en caso de encontrarse en funcionamiento. Una vez realizadas las mediciones se procederá al análisis de las mismas a través de tablas y representaciones gráficas que nos permitirán visualizar de forma clara el estado de la planta sabiendo cuanto se está consumiendo en cada respectivo modo de funcionamiento. Este análisis concluirá con la propuesta del modo de funcionamiento que conlleve el mayor ahorro de combustible posible para el buque, que mejorará por tanto la eficiencia del mismo en la navegación.

The next study will be to verify the propulsive efficiency in a cement carrier. This will allow to know what the state of the engines is, as well as the most economical way to carry out the route given the desired conditions (navigation to one or two engines, operating modes etc.). When carrying out the established route when the vessel is in navigation, it is vitally important to know the actual values of consumptions, pressures, temperatures, etc. that may interest us to know, for example, if an engine is consuming more than another and if necessary take the measures that are required to minimize the economic expense for the owner. For this, this study will be carried out where the propulsion line parameters will be recorded in the navigation route, through specific instrumentation and local indicators. From the port of Villagarcía to Gijón, this route is represented in Annex I. Navigation records are made in different navigation modes with readings of main engine power, fuel consumed by it and speed developed by the vessel varying the regime of rotation of the main engines and the auxiliary engines if it is in operation. Once the measurements have been made, they will be analyzed through tables and graphical representations that will allow us to clearly visualize the state of the plant knowing how much is being consumed in each respective mode of operation. This analysis will conclude with the proposal of the mode of operation that entails the greatest possible fuel savings for the vessel, which will therefore improve its efficiency in navigation.
