RESUMEN: La política de dividendos, la forma en la que las empresas remuneran a sus accionistas es una estrategia de vital importancia para las organizaciones. A lo largo de los años, el reparto de dividendos en las empresas europeas y españolas ha sido una forma de hacer valer la situación económica en la cual se encuentran las compañías. En las épocas de crecimiento económico del siglo XXI, por lo general, el reparto de dividendos en metálico ha sido creciente en todos los sectores, sin embargo, y observando las cifras, durante la recesión y con posterioridad se produce un incremento en la cantidad retribuida. Entendemos que, por un lado, se justifica por la necesidad de mostrar resultados y con ello el gran esfuerzo realizado por las sociedades para retribuir a sus accionistas. Por otro, por la materialización de una forma de reparto novedosa surgida en plena crisis, el scrip dividend. Dada esta peculiaridad, ser un tipo de dividendo que surge en un momento de recesión, consideramos conveniente definir en que consiste qué implicaciones fiscales tiene y qué empresas lo han venido utilizando, así como analizar la evolución de los principales sectores a los que pertenece cada organización. Para ello nos hemos ayudado de tablas y gráficas explicativas, que nos facilitarán el estudio.
ABSTRACT: The dividend policy, the way in which companies remunerate their shareholders is a strategy of vital importance for organizations. Over the years, the distribution of dividends in European and Spanish companies has been a way of asserting the economic situation in which companies find themselves. In times of economic growth of the 21st century, in general, the distribution of cash dividends has been increasing in all sectors, however, and observing the figures, during the recession and subsequently there is an increase in the amount paid . We understand that, on the one hand, it is justified by the need to show results and with it the great effort made by companies to give back to their shareholders. On the other hand, due to the materialization of a new form of distribution that arose in the middle of a crisis, the scrip dividend. Given this peculiarity, being a type of dividend that arises at a time of recession, we consider it convenient to define what is what fiscal implications and what companies have been using it, as well as analyze the evolution of the main sectors to which each organization belongs .
