Análisis del transporte de viajeros en España, 2006-2018

Abstract

La evolución de la economía siempre ha tenido efectos directos en el desarrollo de las distintas actividades económicas. El sector del transporte no ha sido una excepción, y es por ello, por lo que en este trabajo se estudia cómo han influido algunas variables económicas en el transporte de viajeros en España en el periodo comprendido entre 2006 y 2018. En primer lugar, se analiza a través de regresiones lineales el efecto de variables económicas como son el PIB a precios corrientes y la tasa de paro. En segundo lugar, se estudia la evolución de los distintos medios de transporte para comprender cuales de ellos son los que mayor influencia han tenido en la evolución del número total de viajeros. Como con las variables económicas se realiza también una regresión lineal, con el número total de viajeros como variable dependiente y los viajeros de los distintos medios de transporte como variables explicativas. Con esta regresión se llega la conclusión de que el transporte a través de ferrocarril, autobús urbano e interurbano y el transporte aéreo son los más significativos o los de mayor influencia en el número total de viajeros en España entre 2006 y 2018.

The evolution of the economy has always had direct effects on the development of the different activities related to the economy. The transport sector has not been an exception. This is precisely the reason why this this project studies how some economic variables have influenced Passenger transpor in Spain between 2006 and 2018. Firstly, the effect of economic variables, such as GDP at current prices and the unemployment rate, is analyzed through linear regressions. Secondly, the evolution of the different means of transport is studied in order to understand which of them have had the greatest influence on the evolution of the total number of passengers. As with the economic variables, a linear regression is also carried out. The total number of passengers corresponds to the dependent variable and the passengers of the different means of transport correspond to the explanatory variables. This regression leads to the conclusion that rail transport, urban and interurban bus and air transport are the most significant or those with the greater influence on the total number of passengers/travelers in Spain between 2006 and 2018.
