La transición entre Educación Infantil y Educación Primaria a través de los ojos de los niños.

Abstract

RESUMEN Una vez finalizada la etapa de Educación Infantil, los niños y niñas se ven involucrados en un proceso de cambio a una nueva fase educativa. Este proceso es conocido como transición escolar. Los niños son los agentes protagonistas del cambio, aunque también se ven implicados en este las familias y los docentes. El objetivo principal de este estudio es conocer la opinión de los más pequeños sobre la transición. A través de los testimonios y dibujos de los alumnos del tercer curso de Educación Infantil y primero de Educación Primaria conoceremos sus sensaciones ante el cambio de etapa. Los niños y niñas de Educación Infantil compartirán su percepción sobre dicha etapa y las expectativas que tienen sobre la escuela Primaria. Los niños y niñas de primero de Primaria presentarán los recuerdos que guardan de Infantil, así como lo que supuso para ellos el cambio de una etapa a otra.

ABSTRACT Once the Early Childhood Education has finished, there is a phase ahead for children; Primary Education. There is a process in between which is internationally known as Scholar Transition. Children are the main character involved in this procedure even tough families and teachers accompany them all along the changes they may experience. The main goal for this research is to get to know children’s point of view about the transitional process. Different students took part in this project collaborating with their beliefs through conversations and drawings about the change of phase. Early Childhood Education students are expressing what does Early Childhood Education mean for them and their expectations about the new period they are about to start. On the other hand, students from the Year One of Primary Education are sharing their memories from the past period and how they far exceed the changes that the Scholar Transition involves.
