Escuela rural: una nueva realidad educativa

Abstract

RESUMEN En la actualidad, las escuelas rurales están infravaloradas debido a que les sigue precediendo la imagen de deficiencia que les caracterizó hace unas décadas. No obstante, la sociedad y las escuelas rurales han evolucionado tanto que tenemos que ser conscientes del importante papel que desempeñan dentro de nuestra sociedad y dentro del Sistema Educativo Español. Estas escuelas rurales se encuentran caracterizadas por su contexto, su agrupamiento multigrado y por la gran heterogeneidad que les define. A su vez, vamos a conocer cómo se han ido adaptando las escuelas rurales a las nuevas tecnologías.

ABSTRACT Nowadays, rural schools are undervalued because they are preceded by the image of deficiency that characterized them a few decades ago. However, society and rural schools have evolved so much that we have to be aware of the important role they play in our society and in our Spanish Educational System. These rural schools are characterized by their context, their multigrade grouping and by the great heterogeneity that defines them. At the same time, we will learn how rural schools have adapted to new technologies.
