Viajando a la cultura japonesa a través de El viaje de Chihiro

Abstract

RESUMEN: En occidente, los niños disfrutan de una gran variedad de animación que cada año crece con el fin de entretener. España recibe constantemente producciones traducidas de varios países vecinos. Esto se debe a que es la segunda lengua más hablada en el mundo. No obstante, a pesar de no ser vecino, Japón, que constituye la segunda empresa cinematográfica que más movimiento tiene, ofrece a nuestro país gran cantidad de películas en las que podemos observar las diferencias existentes entre las animaciones de ambos países. Este trabajo se centrará en un autor japonés concreto, Hayao Miyazaki y una de sus producciones más famosas: El Viaje de Chihiro, que tiene un enfoque muy interesante sobre la cultura japonesa y la maduración como persona de la protagonista de la película. Además, cuenta con una gran variedad de personajes que se tratarán con el fin de entender sus comportamientos y el enfoque que el autor desea que visualicemos y comprendamos. Se tratarán varias de las simbologías que aparecen en la película para encontrar diferencias entre las creencias japonesas y europeas. Trabajar con los niños esta producción es una forma de que conozcan otras culturas y de que reconozcan que existen varios tipos de animación. Gracias a la cantidad de extranjeros orientales que viven en nuestro país, será fácil adquirir ejemplos que los niños puedan reconocer (restaurantes, tiendas…). También es una forma de practicar el razonamiento de los alumnos, pues El viaje de Chihiro tiene muchos aprendizajes ocultos que se pueden trabajar.

ABSTRACT: In the west side, children enjoy several types of animation that every year grows in order to entertain. Spain constantly receives productions translated from several neighbor countries. This is because it is the second most language spoken all over the world. However, despite not being a neighbor, Japan, which has been defined as the second film company with more developed business in this area, offers our country great number of films in which we can realize the differences that exist between the animations of these two countries. This work will be focused on a specific Japanese author, Hayao Miyazaki and one of his most famous productions: Spirited Away, which has a very interesting analysis about Japanese culture and how the main character matures and grows throughout the movie. In addition, it counts as well with several characters that will be also analyzed with the purpose of understanding their behaviors and the author point´s of view. Several of the symbologies that appear in the movie will be discussed to find differences between Japanese and European beliefs and ways of thinking. Working with children in this production is a way to get to know other cultures, and so they realize there are several types of animation. Thanks to the number of Asiatic foreigners living in our country, it will be easy get examples to be recognize for children (restaurants, shops ...). It is also a way to practice the reasoning of students, because Spirited Away has lots of hidden learnings that can be worked on.
