Aprender matemáticas en diferentes espacios: la cocina

Abstract

RESUMEN En este Trabajo Fin de Grado se quiere dar a conocer la necesidad de hacer un cambio en la metodología a la hora de enseñar y aprender matemáticas en Educación Infantil. Estamos ante una etapa educativa caracterizada por la experimentación y por la manipulación a través del juego, por ese motivo, se pretende realizar una secuencia de actividades con el fin de trabajar las matemáticas en un contexto diferente al aula, como es la cocina. Para ello, vamos a contar con una metodología que cada vez se va utilizando más en las aulas de Educación Infantil, el Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos, en la que se parte de los gustos, intereses y motivaciones del alumno. Con este trabajo, lo que se pretende conseguir es que el alumnado adquiriera nuevos conocimientos que le sean útiles para ponerlos en práctica en el día a día, por medio de la participación activa y el papel protagonista que se les otorga. Se les ofrecerá aquellas herramientas y/o instrumentos necesarios para llevar a cabo el proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje, brindándoles ayuda en todo momento para la resolución de aquellas dudas que se les vayan presentando, sin olvidar que el docente, en la metodología de los proyectos, queda en un segundo plano.

ABSTRACT In this Final Degree Paper we want to make people aware of the need of intruducing certain changes in teaching methodology when teaching and learning mathematics in Pre-School Education. The educational stage we are talking about is characterized by experimentation and manipulation through play, and this is the reason why we are intending to perform a sequence of activities in order to work out mathematics in a different context to the classroom, such as the kitchen. To do this, we will have a methodology that is increasingly used in the classrooms of Early Childhood Education, this is the" Project Based Learning" (known as PBL), which is based on the likes, interests and motivations of the pupil. The aim of the present project is for children to acquire new knowledge that can be useful as a practice in daily live, all by means of both, active participation and the leading role being given to them. They will be offered those tools and/or the necessary resources for the pupils to be able to carry out the teaching-learning process, assisting them at all times in any doubts or difficulties that may arise, without forgetting that the teacher, in PBL methodology, remains in the background.
