El Maltrato Infantil: Estudio sobre la detección y notificación en la escuela

Abstract

RESUMEN: Este TFG (Trabajo de Fin de Grado) es un proyecto de investigación sobre el maltrato infantil. En primer lugar, se describe lo que es el maltrato infantil y los tipos que hay; en segundo lugar, se explica cuál es el procedimiento para su detección y notificación en los centros educativos. A continuación, la investigación central del TFG se basa en el análisis de una variable específica, la edad del profesorado. La hipótesis principal considera que esta variable puede incidir en la detección y notificación del maltrato en la escuela, pero como demuestran los resultados de la investigación no existe relación entre la edad de los docentes y la detección y notificación de los casos de maltrato infantil en la comunidad autónoma de Cantabria. Por último, este TFG concluye con la importancia que tiene que el profesorado esté bien formado en este tema, para que, independientemente de la edad, se puedan detectar y notificar más casos de maltrato infantil.

ABSTRACT: This FDD (Final Degree Dissertation) is a research project about child maltreatment. First of all, it describes what child abuse is and the different types that exist. Secondly, it explains what the process of detection consists of and how it works in education centers. Then, the central research of the FDD is based on the analysis of a specific variable, the age of the teachers. The main hypothesis considers this variable can affect the detection and notification of child abuse in school, but as the results of the research show, there isn’t relation between the age of the teachers and the detection and notification of cases of child abuse in Cantabria. Finally, this FDD concludes with the importance of the teachers being well trained in this subject, so that, regardless of age, more cases of child abuse can be detected and notified.
