Restauración de Patrimonio Metálico. Aproximación a este tipo de patrimonio y ejemplo práctico

Abstract

RESUMEN: El patrimonio metálico está integrado por un conjunto complejo de bienes culturales en el que se combinan múltiples metales y aleaciones, además de otros materiales. Esto dificulta posibles intervenciones. La conservación de este tipo de patrimonio requiere también conocimientos muy diversos en diferentes campos (humanísticos y científicos) a fin de lograr actuaciones eficaces frente a los procesos corrosivos (estabilización y protección). Entre estas actuaciones, la conservación preventiva debe ser también parte fundamental como acción para tener en cuenta.

ABSTRACT: The metallic heritage is integrated by a complex set of cultural assets in which multiple metals and alloys are combined, in addition to other materials. This hinders possible interventions. The conservation of this type of heritage also requires very different knowledge in different fields (humanistic and scientific) in order to achieve effective actions against corrosive processes (stabilization and protection). Among these actions, preventive conservation must also be a fundamental part as an action to be consider.
