Abstract

RESUMEN: El objetivo principal de este estudio es conocer la difusión de las armas de pólvora y la misma pólvora hasta su llegada a Occidente, así como la acogida que ambas tuvieron en las armadas europeas. Explicaremos el origen y la expansión que dichos avances protagonizaron en conjunto, evolucionando en el tiempo y extendiéndose en el espacio. Analizaremos su acogida europea y el vaticinio de su formidable futuro militar entre aquellas potencias políticas que empezaban a integrarlas y emplearlas en sus navíos. En concreto, trataremos de analizar las primeras y confusas batallas navales que tuvieron lugar entre los siglos XIV y XV para hacernos una idea del impacto que tuvieron una vez se hubo comprendido su ventaja táctica.

ABSTRACT:The main goal of this study is to know the diffusion of firearms and gunpowder itself until its arrival to the western countries, as well as the placement of both in european navies. We will explain the origin and expansion that those developments starred overall, evolving in time and spreading in space. We are going to analyze the way Europe welcome it and the forecast of its formidable militar future between those political powers which started to incorporate and use them in their ships. Specifically, we will try to analyze the first confusing naval battles that took place between the centuries XIV and XV to elaborate an idea of the impact they had once their tactical advantage had been understood.
