El trabajo cualificado masculino en Torrelavega en el año 1824: el caso de los artesanos

Abstract

Resumen: El contenido de este Trabajo de Fin de Grado (TFG) es un estudio acerca del mercado de trabajo torrelaveguense a comienzos del siglo XIX, concretamente en el año 1824, que se centra en un segmento concreto de población activa cualificada: los artesanos, sirviendo para ello como fuente principal el Padrón de dicho año, y utilizando otras como complemento. El estudio abarca desde una introducción histórica, la exposición de objetivos y el análisis de la fuente, hasta el núcleo principal del TFG que es el análisis socioprofesional de una serie de variables que nos ayudarán a entender mejor cómo eran estos trabajadores y el momento que les tocó vivir.

Abstract: The content of this dissertation is a study about the job market in Torrelavega at the beginning of the nineteenth century, specifically in the year of 1824, that is centred in a particular segment of qualified active population: the craftsmen. To do so I will use as the main resource the register of inhabitants of that year, and others as a complement. This study covers from a historical introduction, an exposition of objectives and the analysis of the resource, to the main nucleus of the dissertation, which is the socioprofessional analysis of a series of variables that will help us to understand better what were this workers like and the moment they lived.
