El estudio del Holocausto en la enseñanza secundaria: una aproximación desde la formación en valores

Abstract

RESUMEN El Holocausto fue un acontecimiento que sacudió los cimientos de la mentalidad contemporánea. Aún hoy, son muchas las investigaciones que tratan de abordar la complejidad de este hecho y los límites a los que el ser humano llegó. Nuestra propuesta didáctica tiene como objetivo principal el abordaje dentro de la enseñanza secundaria del Holocausto como vehículo fundamental para contribuir en la formación del pensamiento crítico y la formación de ciudadanos y ciudadanas responsables con unos valores éticos que les eviten caer en extremismos y estar alerta ante nuevos casos de xenofobia e intolerancia. Todo esto mediante una metodología cooperativa basada en proyectos que busca la implicación activa del alumnado en el afán por reconstruir unos acontecimientos con los que reflexionar y valorar la importancia de nuestro pasado.

ABSTRACT The Holocaust was an event that shook the foundations of the contemporary mentality. Even today, there are many investigations that try to address the complexity of this fact and the limits human being arrived. Our didactic proposal has as a main goal the approach within the secondary education of the Holocaust as a fundamental vehicle to contribute in the formation of critical thinking and the formation of responsible citizens with ethical values that avoid falling into extremism and being alert to new cases of xenophobia and intolerance. All this through a cooperative methodology based on projects that seeks the active involvement of students in the eagerness to reconstruct some events with which to reflect and value the importance of our past.
