Estudio y Propuesta de actuación sobre la relación familia-escuela en un centro de Educación Secundaria

Abstract

RESUMEN: La investigación que se presenta a continuación trata de profundizar en la relación que se establece entre familias y centro educativo a través del estudio de la evolución normativa y teórica de la cuestión y el análisis de las percepciones que sobre ella existen en un centro de Educación Secundaria de Cantabria. Para ello se utiliza una metodología de enfoque mixto a través de entrevista a profesorado y una encuesta a familias de dos grupos. Del estudio se desprende la importancia que familias y profesorado conceden a estas relaciones en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de sus hijos pero también la baja participación de las familias en el centro y el interés docente por fomentarla. Finalmente, se incluye una propuesta de actuación con el objetivo de fomentar la participación de las familias en el centro en el que se realiza la investigación y buscando sentar las bases para generar una cultura participativa duradera en el tiempo, considerando el contexto del centro.

ABSTRACT: The research presented below seeks to look into the relationship between families and educational centres through the study of the normative and theoretical evolution of the issue and the analysis of the perceptions of this evolution in a Secondary Education School. With this aim in mind, a mixed approach methodology is used, through teacher interviews and a survey to families from two groups. The study shows how important these relationships in the teaching-learning process are to the families. Also, the little involvement of families in the school lifestyle and the teacher’s interest in promote it are shown. Finally, a proposal for action is included with the aim of encouraging the involvement of families in the school life where the research is carried out and seeking to lay the foundations to generate a participative culture that lasts overtime, considering the context of the school.
