La descolonización del África portuguesa

Abstract

RESUMEN El objetivo de este Trabajo Fin de Grado es analizar el proceso de descolonización de las colonias africanas de Portugal. Para ello, se parte de una aproximación general al proceso de colonización portugués y a sus características singulares, aquéllas que lo diferenciaron de otros modelos colonizadores europeos, como el inglés. A continuación, se aborda el análisis del proceso descolonizador portugués, teniendo en cuenta el contexto socio-político del régimen salazarista, ya que ambos estuvieron interrelacionados, pues las guerras coloniales fueron desgastando el régimen y la caída de éste ayudó a llevar a cabo la independencia de las colonias africanas. También se hace referencia al contexto internacional, dado que la situación de bipolaridad internacional característica de la Guerra Fría influyó también en el desarrollo de este proceso descolonizador.

ABSTRACT The aim of this TFG is to analyze the process of decolonization of the African colonies of Portugal. For this, we start with a general approach to the process of Portuguese colonization and its singular characteristics, which were different from other European colonization models, such as English. After that, the analysis of the Portuguese decolonization process is analyzed, taking into account the socio-political context of the Salazar regime, since both were interrelated, since the colonial wars were eroding the regime and the fall of it helped to carry out the independence of the African colonies. Reference is also made to the international context, since the situation of international bipolarity characteristic of the Cold War also influenced the development of this decolonizing process.
