Varada por causa meteorológica

Abstract

En este Trabajo Final De Grado en Ingeniería Náutica y Transporte Marítimo titulado: “VARADA POR CAUSA METEOROLÓGICA” se ha desarrollado con el fin de estudiar el comportamiento de un buque enfrentado a una varada causada por el fenómeno meteorológico llamado “rissaga” o “meteotsunami” y, a su vez, el estudio del fenómeno en sí. La meteorología es un factor que siempre acompaña al marino, ya sea a favor o en contra. Por ello es crucial el conocimiento y el estudio de los partes meteorológicos y de cómo el tiempo puede afectar de forma positiva o negativa la navegación. Lo mismo se puede decir con los accidentes marítimos que, por desgracia, ocurren anualmente en todo el mundo, y que pueden reducirse significantemente gracias al conocimiento del marino con su deber a la hora de enfrentarse a uno, siendo en este caso una varada.

ABSTRACT:This Final Degree Project, entitled: “GROUNDING DUE TO A METOROLOGICAL CAUSE”, is an academic task that seeks to study the way a ship beaches due to a meteotsunami. In this task, the nature of a meteotsunami will be study, so as the theory of beaching or stranding on merchant ships. Meteorology is an all-time escorted factor for sailors. Depending on the situation, the weather acts up or downwind for a vessel. Therefore, knowledge and studies about meteorology are crucial for a successful navigation. Every year, accidents occur all around the world at sea, and most of them bear some relation with bad weather conditions. According to this, it is crucial for seamen to get used to adverse situations by making regular drills aboard. In this particular case, a stranding caused by adverse weather, relative questions about adverse weather situations and marine accidents are studied.
