Hacia una educación bilingüe

Abstract

RESUMEN: Vivimos en un tiempo en el que aprender una segunda lengua es de vital importancia si se quiere dar un progreso en la sociedad y contar con oportunidades. En muchos centros educativos de España quieren que sus alumnos cuenten con las habilidades necesarias para la buena adquisición de una nueva lengua. Por este motivo, en algunos centros han creado programas de educación bilingüe para que así, desde la infancia se pueda comenzar a tener contacto con nuevo idioma, que mayoritariamente se trata del inglés. Pero ¿Qué sabemos realmente de los programas bilingües? Desafortunadamente mucha población no sabe de qué trata estos programas, puesto que es un tema un tanto novedoso en nuestro país pero que con los años se está consolidando en los colegios públicos, privados y concertados. Por ello mediante este trabajo, se pretende dar a conocer estos programas y poder comprobar cuál es la visión de la comunidad educativa sobre la implantación del bilingüismo en los centros educativos.

ABSTRACT: We live in a time in which learning a second language is of vital importance if we want to make progress in society and have opportunities. In many schools in Spain, they want their students to have the necessary skills for a good acquisition of a new language. For this reason, in some schools they have created bilingual education programmes so that, from a very early age, they can begin to have contact with a new language, which is mostly English. But what do we really know about bilingual programmes? Unfortunately, many people do not know what these programs are about, since it is a somewhat new topic in our country but that over the years is being consolidated in public, private and subsidized schools. Therefore, through this paper, we intend to make these programs known and to verify the vision of the educational community on the implementation of bilingualism in schools.
